Integrated Monitoring of the Quality of the Indoor Environment (RIP) in Buildings using Wireless Sensor Network (SAD) and the Internet of Things (IoT).
Development of an innovative product for smart buildings (Smart Buildings). The product will consist of sensor cages, a web portal and actuators and will be accompanied by applications of environmental data analysis in the cloud using an IoT platform, thus contributing to comfortable and healthy living.
The goal of the team members, Eleftheria Katsiris, Angelos Protopapas, Dimitris Katsiris and Alexandros Gazis, is the development and promotion of an innovative product for smart buildings, which will consist of low cost sensor cages, a web portal and actuators. This will be piloted in three buildings of different uses (home, school, hospital). It is accompanied by applications of environmental data analysis in the cloud using IoT applications. The measurements of all the parameters defined by the international standards are continuous and in real time. Built-in software will be installed in the portals for the machine learning based on the measurements and for the control of the actuators in order to achieve the desired conditions.
